My first Ararat climb was in 2008. It was a life changing experience. My grand father was born in Igdir and my roots are embeded in Ararat. I love climbing and will be back again soon. Varoujan Davoud Amirkhanian

In June 2009 I went with my father to Turkey, where we plant to climb on Mount Ararat. We had already our permit from the embassy in Stuttgart. So we needed a guide to go on. We met Mehmet by chance on the market in Dogubayazit. Already in the first minutes he was so fiendly to us that we decided to go with him. So we stayed for a few days in town to organize the last things and headed after to the foot of the mountain. Mehmet organized all the the things with the gear and transportation. So we walked up to 3200 altitude meters on the first day and build up our tents there. We\'re somehow experienced so we could continue the ascent on the next day up to 4100m for the second camp. We had amazing weather, therefor we had a great view. Special to me was his know how about the mountain - Great how he knows about the people the plants and the climbing its self there. It was great fun to get so much information. At that second day we went early to bed to start the ascent for the top of Mt. Ararat in the early morning the next day. Our tent was already at snow level. 2am in the mornig was start time, so we put our cloths on and started the hard way up. It needed some will to go on, because it was cold and the air is thin up there. He leaded us perfectly up the way to the last plateau and then at 9am we reached the peak. The view is phantastic, because it´s the only high mountain in this area. The wind brought us fast to descend, so we went down at the same day and relaxed in a hot spring next to dogubayazit. All in all the time was phenomenal. Till now I´ve a good connection to Mehmet - we got along very well! Thank you a lot for these good days =))

In August 2010 Mehmet Ceven has taken our group of 10 people up to the top in the most professional way. That journey was perfectly organized: fun, secure, good food, etc. I can strongly recommend Mehmet for his competencies as a mountain guide (and singer!) but most of all because he is a great person. Thank you Mehmet.

Thanks to Mehmet and his organisation, I could celebrate fiftieth anniversary on the top of this most extraordinary summit with a team of 10, family and close friends; we all got to the top in perfect condition, achieving one the most exciting and stirring experiences of my life...

Thanks to Mehmet's guiding skills, human qualities and his perfect organisation, Ararat climbing will stay as a unique experience in my life!

Hello Mehmet, How are you? We are all happy. Thank you so much for your organization. It was really perfect. Everything was great. We have seen so many things. We have learned so much from you and your stories. I want to make all my next travels with you, because it was so great. It was even better than we’ve expected it to be.
